Research Internship Available

Internship Opportunity (Location: Burley, ID)
We are seeking to fill a paid internship position that will primarily involve carrying out research trials in agricultural, greenhouse, laboratory, and natural landscape settings. Candidates for the position must be willing to follow protocols. We prefer individuals that are self-motivated and eager to learn. Focus and flexibility are essential due to varying daily work responsibilities and our diverse types of research and growth environments.

Qualifications: Organized and attentive to detailed instructions. Ability to perform duties in work settings that include the greenhouse, laboratory, office, agricultural fields, and natural landscape settings as a function of the time of year and priorities. Ability to carry 50 pounds and operate equipment needed to conduct small-plot harvests in agricultural fields. Candidates must be eager to help accomplish a primary function of Redox Bio-Nutrients, which is to evaluate scientific concepts that should promote establishment of healthy crops. Responsibilities are not limited to setting up experiments following protocols and collecting data, although these are primary tasks.

Agronomist
Northern San Joaquin and Sacramento Valley Region

Redox Bio-Nutrients is looking for an agronomist to work with our agricultural retailers and growers in the Northern San Joaquin Valley and Sacramento Valley regions.

Customer service and a full understanding of the science behind our products are integral to our family company. We employ a team of agronomists throughout the U.S., to market our technology, and to work with customers and agricultural retailers, to ensure positive outcomes at the farm level. This position entails a balance between agronomic and technical support in the field, with sales growth a priority.

Roles / Responsibilities of this position include:
– Strong agronomic knowledge of soil and plants
– Maintaining business relationships at the distributor level throughout the organization, from sales to technical support
– Inventory management
– Deep understanding of cropping systems in your region
– Travel required, including occasional regional sales training
– PCA/CCA Certification, previous sales experience preferred
– Demonstrate ability to learn and absorb highly technical information
– Work with the research community and farm advisors to coordinate information, then connect with key thought leaders in the industry
– Responsible for maintaining and growing product sales in territory

Ideal candidates will have a skillset that includes:
– Four-year agriculture or related degree preferred
– Strong communication skills to understand the needs of individual users and the business, and to collaborate frequently on plans and progress for both
– The ability to present technical information to groups of growers and other industry members
– High integrity and a team mindset
– Comfortable use of a computer, including the following applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Strong organizational and time-management skills, along with the ability to multi-task

Accountant / Controller

Job Description
The Accountant/Controller is responsible for helping Redox Bio-Nutrients achieve its financial and operational goals. Their duties include guiding cash management activities, efficiency strategies and accounting software administration. They will direct and oversee the financial activities of the business, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth. They will ensure all regulatory laws and processes are adhered to.

Roles / Responsibilities
– Involved in the purchase, pricing, investments, debt management and accounts payable and receivable.
– Areas of responsibility include general ledger, monthly internal and external reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, sales and margin analysis by product type and profiles. Assisting in the processes of financial prediction and preparation of budgets.
– Manage accounting software updates, reports, and dashboards. Directs policies and procedures in accounting software and practices.
– Assist in implementation of rebate program and account receivable policies.
– Assisting the Management Team on long-term financial and business planning. 
– Tracking cash flow and analyzing the company’s financial weaknesses and strength, while proposing corrective actions.
– Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
– Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
– Works with the President and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
– Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
– Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements.

Requirements
– Degree in Accounting or Finance Required.
– Certified Public Accountant designation preferred, or actively pursuing a CPA.
– Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.
– Experience in financial management required.
– Expert knowledge of accounting software, Sage Intacct.
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
– Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
– Experience with software such as Excel, Word, Paycom, Health Equity, and Outlook.
– Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statements.
