Mix With Confidence: How Redox Products Play Well in the Spray Tank

Spray days on a golf course or sports field are carefully choreographed. By the time you’ve scheduled your fungicide window, coordinated with groundskeeping staff, and factored in weather and playability, the last thing you want is a tank mix that underperforms — or worse, one that separates or ties up your chemistry before it ever hits the turf. 

That’s why compatibility is one of the most practical conversations we can have about Redox products. 

RAM Technology: The Reason Compatibility Works 

At the core of every Redox product is RAM Technology. Redox Active Molecules (RAM) is the combination of plant-active redox active molecules and our proprietary manufacturing working together to support plant charge balance.

Fungicides

Fertilizers and Liquid Nutrition

Chelated and complexed nutrients don’t antagonize other soluble fertilizers the way unprotected mineral sources can. A Best Practice for Every Mix 

Even with a highly compatible product system, a few habits will always serve you well: 

Perform a jar test when introducing any new combination, especially with reactive materials like phosphate and calcium. Add products in their intended proportions to a small volume of water at your intended dilution rate, and observe for separation, precipitate, or color change before scaling up to a full tank. 

Load the tank correctly. Fill the tank 50% full with water and start agitation before adding any material. Add products slowly rather than dumping them in — this allows for more thorough hydration, especially with dry soluble powders. 

Follow the recommended mixing order. Redox products span a wide pH range — from roughly 3.0 up to 12.5 depending on the product — so mixing order matters. As a general rule, add products from highest to lowest pH. Check the product handling guide for the correct sequence for each product, and check tank pH before adding any buffering agents. 

Check your water quality. High-bicarbonate or very hard water can stress even well-formulated products. If your water source is a variable, consider conditioning it before mixing. 

Most pesticides tank-mix readily with Redox products, but the same caution applies: jar test first, and avoid combinations with any material that could cause an adverse reaction or turfgrass damage.
